“Ms.Ruffini is an excellent speech/feeding therapist. She has worked with my son, who is 10, for over several years. When we first started receiving her services, my son was only eating stage 2 Gerber food no table food. I was very concerned with his wellbeing, and he had a severe feeding disorder. Ms. Ruffini took the time to get to know my son and get him comfortable with her. It definitely took time, but she is so patient and caring. We have had many other speech/feeding therapist and were not seeing any results, which just cause more anxiety for my child. Our family is so grateful for all she has done for my son. She is experienced and knows how to engage with children, especially if they are on the spectrum. My son now has expanded his food where he is now eating a small variety of different foods. I never thought anyone would be able to help him and she has done so much to give him what he needs in order to thrive. “My experience with Megan Ruffini in the speech therapist role was outstanding. She worked with my young son for about a year to help with his speech delay. Her approach was engaging, centered on play and positive reinforcement, and very effective. My son started with a below average word count and expanded his vocabulary as well as practicing and learning the tools to improve the different sounds and mouth movements he needed to work on. Megan included me in the lessons and showed me how to continue to help my son improve with ways to increase his awareness and movement of oral muscles and how to emphasize the sounds he needed.
